It was Pranab who crossed the floor
to Opposition to say "thanks"
PM did not stay to wish
Opposition for passage of Nuke liability bill
By Delhi Correspondent
Usual courtesy in Lok Sabha has been that PM
goes to Leader of Opposition to thank for passage
of Bills.
But Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh did not stay back in Lok Sabha to thank the
Opposition BJP for smooth passage of Nuke Liability bill. It was
Pranab Mukherjee Leader of Opposition who crossed over to the BJP benches
behind the Speaker podium, to say 'big thanks'
BJP senior leaders murmured that Dr Singh should have large hearted feeling
one leader also commented that on such votings,it is PM who generally show usual
courtesy and magnanimity to go to benches of Opposition.
In the confusion, Thambidurai who presided over the Lok Sabha abruptly adjourned
the house for tomorrow. It was he who said that zero hour would be taken up
and Trinamool MP began to speak also. A senior Minister went to the podium
told Thambidurai that soon after such bills are passed the house is adjourned
and no other business is taken up.Hence Thambidurai announced adjournement.
