CENTRE TO CONSTITUTE JUDICIAL COMMISSION
NEXT WEEK, TO LAY ROAD MAP FOR TELANGANA

Centre is likely to constitute a judicial commission headed 
by a retired Supreme Court judge to examine the demand for 
bifurcating Telengana as a separate state from Andhra Pradesh.

Armed with the authorisation of Core Committee of Congress giving
green signal - which is from the political side, now the responsibility is
entrusted to Government. 

The Judicial Commission is expected to be chaired by a retired 
Supreme Court Judge, with three experts who will be members of 
this commission. The Judicial Commission will be given eighteen months
tenure. Commission headquarters will be in Delhi.

Terms and references are now being drafted and discussed between
three Union Ministers. 

PMO has quietly begun to do exercise this afternoon. To select one
it has shortlisted three senior judges who retired recently, 
Justice Sri Krishna, Justice Tarun Chatterjee and Justice Lakshmanan.

The three experts are to be identified from a list of 15 names have been 
shortlisted by PMO. Most of them are technical experts.
